How to Warm a Bottle Using a Tommee Tippee Bottle Warmer

Designed specifically for use with the Tommee Tippee bottle system and small glass baby food jars, the Tommee Tippee bottle warmer warms a bottle or jar quickly and efficiently without burns or mess. This warmer functions for both formula and breast milk without scorching or removing nutrients. The warmer also allows parents to avoid heat pocket microwave dangers and warms a bottle in substantially less time than it takes to boil water or warm crock pot water.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR WARMING

* Fill a Tommee Tippee bottle with commercial formula or breast milk. Bottles filled with water may be warmed instead of fully prepared bottles.

* Place the full bottle in warmer.

* Add water up to half an inch from the rim of the warmer. Water should not cover your bottle. It's fine if your bottle floats. The sides of the warmer will prevent overturning.

* Make sure the setting knob is set to MIN and plug the cord into a standard outlet.

* Turn the control dial to setting 3. The manufacturer suggests that all formula or breast milk be heated on setting 3 and use setting 2 only for keeping warm milk at a steady temperature.

* Test the bottle frequently for desired temperature. Place the bottle back into the warmer if necessary.

* Remove the bottle once the desired temperature is attained. Make sure not to touch the extremely hot water.

* Unplug the unit and turn the setting dial back to MIN.

Tip:

The light will click on and off during the heating process. This does not mean the contents have warmed to the desired temperature. The light acts as a thermostat-type feature to maintain the temperature of the water.

It is important to add the water after placing the bottle in the water because overflowing can occur if the bottle is added after the water.

Warning:

Make sure to test the formula before feeding it to your baby. Leaving the formula or milk in the water too long will make the contents extremely hot.

The manufacturer does not mention the ability to use bottles other than Tommee Tippee in the Tommee Tippee bottle warmer. Do this at your own risk.

Do not keep breast milk or formula in the warmer for more than 30 minutes. Failure to do so may result in spoilage.
